DISCLAMER: spooky stuff (math)

ANOTHER DISCLAMER: I don't have any degrees or the likes in any of these subject. I'm only relaying what I learn in classes, which may or may not be a lie or an oversimplifaction. Keep this in mind

This will basically just be me babling about things I find interesting about the subjects. Most of my friends are hardly interested in it so I'll just have to make YOU, the reader, read it instead

Mathematics

Love it or hate it, it can be very fascinating. I have at least fallen for it. Long story short, I'm doing university maths arranged by the local uni, which means I can rant about more advanced stuff, even though the other subjects will be restricted to high school-level, so strap in :3

A thank to my old maths teacher, who allegedly is an alien (He said so himself)

and would for free hire himself as a hitman to take out pupils if he so desired

He's the best

So basically

So... it's pretty fucked how you go the whole start of your life, throughout school, being told:

"No, you can NOT take the square root of a negative number" - A liar

but then when you start doing calculus, all of a sudden they just say "JK you can :3"
So yeah, complex numbers... Really fun once you know the basics: the imaginary unit i, polar form, a new definition of sin and cos, De Moivre's theorem, kinda just mind blowing. I feel like on one hand, yes it makes sense to well... "protect" children from the truth, it would be a whole lot more complex (pun not intended but here we are), but on the other hand, why lie? Just say "oh yeah it's possible, but, like it's wayyyy harder than what you should be doing" or something along those lines, jeez >:( . So yeah, that's my rant about complex numbers :3

What's also pretty fucked, not as much, but still a little, is how you then get told:

"oh yeah so you know limits? mhmhm? And you know continous functions? MHMHM? Well you're and idiot, your definition sucks ASS! Here's a new way to define them, you can either write a paragraph describing it or you can use these MAGICAL SYMBOLS (universal quantifiers) to do it in short" - The fuck you guy

Like... what the hell is this?

It's a horror
Anyway, once you get over the trauma that is this new aspect of what you though you knew, it's pretty alright. Yeah sure, you have to do some grueling proofs of limits and continuity, but then it gets generalised to look more like the familiar warmth of high school maths, sweet relief

More coming once I figure out what to write, and once I learn more :3

also, here take this, its homemade:

Eulers identity

BEWARE: DOGS CROSSING

Chemistry

For (almost) no reason whatsoever, loads of people in the same year as me are hating on chem... I don't get it

This does NOT mean it's all fun and games

Don't get me wrong, I love it. Might be my favourite subject, maybe... I have one issue with it, and that's the fact that almost everything we learn has a dozen exeptions that just randomly appears to slap you in the face when you least expect it
It's probably because it all is an abstraction of how the real world works, which leads to some things not fitting entirely and all that,
but stilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Acids and bases are really cool. You add some of it (with high enough concentration) to another thing and it can just disolve it :3
At this level, the calculations aren't that difficult, like, calculating pH in buffers, weak acids, finding concentrations and stuff. Yeah, I guess they can be complex and stuff (not complex like mentioned in the math-section, don't worry), it can be hard to remember EVERY acid and base out there... like, yeah some are obvious, but when you see a random molecule that MAY OR MAY NOT be an acid, syke its a base You are an idiot (Might be loud)

BUT THEN THERE'S THIS

Ever wondered why and/or how a chemical reaction actually happenes? Then here you are: reaction mechanics
It's so much fun! It's like reading (or writing, which is a bitttt more annoying) a comic that shows exactly how the atoms do stuff to form new molecules!
Like, YES SHOW ME YOUR SECRETS YOU TINY THINGS!

Physics? Scary

I might rant about the theory of relativity or some stuff here, but I'm lowkey sleepy as I'm writing this
